Heather Piehl: We stayed overnight after a concert at US Bank Stadium - awesome location for that, just a quick few minute walk!Service at front desk less than desirable.Rooms are on the small side.If you like a more modern feel instead of a more home/cozy feel, this one is for you.
Lisa M Arvizu: We checked in late at night. We had to be buzzed in to the lobby. The desk attendant was friendly and professional. Hotel parking is expensive so we asked about options and she was very helpful. Although, I’m not a fan of the decor throughout the hotel it was very clean. The needs are comfortable. The temperature was comfortable. I felt safe. Typical prices for hotel food. Neither the open areas or the room are large but it’s adequate space for a night or two. Like I said I didn’t care for the decor but it was clean.
Wendy Jackson: So close to the light rail, so getting to the airport and mall of America is a breeze. Price is great, it is connected to the Skywalk. There are no microwaves in the room, I think that is a fire safety issue, but there is one near the lobby elevator that got filthy after 1-person-use. Oh yeah, a skip and a hop to Trader Joes and Starbucks.Walkability: Great walking area, just don't pass any interstate roads. It gets sketchy.
Alexis Laubenthal: This hotel is so great if going to US Bank Stadium, and need a place to stay. Within walking distance and always a place to park nearby. The check-in is easy and can be done online as well as check out. There is a bar/ restaurant which is small but is great for a quick bite or drinkRooms: Every time we’ve stayed rooms have been clean and well cared for. They have a modern vibe to them.Safety: This hotel is safe, the street level door does lock at night. You have access back in with your room key.Walkability: Great if visiting US Bank Stadium!

David De La Torre: I stayed at this hotel for four days during a conference. This hotel is very close to the conference center, made it very convenient to go back and forth. The service at the hotel and the restaurant was top notch. They upgraded me to a larger room which was like an apartment with 2 baths, an office, lounge master bedroom and huge bathroom. No complaints whatsoever!Nearby activities: Next to convention center and short walking distance to Nicollete Mall and other downtown locations.Walkability: Connected via skywalk to the convention center and short walking distance to everything in downtown.
Chance Sparks: 5-stars for an imperfect stay, because a nice hotel has to be judged by how they respond. We had a major plumbing issue well out of their control involving some kind of broke line. Maintenance was there within 5 minutes, and they had us moved to a new room with keys and a luggage cart within another 5 minutes, along with some credits. That is a level of quality response you just don’t see often, and they should be commended!

Paul McLellan: Growing up in minneapolis, I had always heard of the Foshay but did not know the intricate details behind the history of the place.While vacationing in Minneapolis with my wife, it was one of her targeted areas and we thoroughly enjoyed the museum that told the nuanced history of the building but the great surprise was the observation deck on the top floor. It was a stunning 360° View of the entirety of Minneapolis and was worth every penny.
MaiNhia Lee: The foshay was a nice hotel. I got a suite there on a Saturday and they had a live dj event that night too. Super sweet hotel manager told the bartender to give me their best cocktail drink because it was my birthday and my sister asked which was their best cocktails. She paid $20 bucks for that cocktail and it tasted different but good. The dj event was great as well and I was able to make a few requests for him to play my music. Had a great time there. The hotel was clean and pretty. The 27th floor is where the other bar/lounge was and I was a little disappointed with the size of it. It was small and not roomy at all so didn’t even stay there. Overall, it’s a cute place and I wouldn’t mind getting a room there again.

pizzapieyum: Recently stayed for a work trip and it was an overall good experience!Staffs are very welcoming and helpful in general. Sophia was very professional, and other front desk staffs were friendly as well.But the valet staffs were really going above and beyond — they always greet you with big smiles, remember you, and help you with finding your uber, loading the bags, etc. I did not get their names but all of them were amazing. They seriously need a raise.The only downside was that the room was not the best for working. It does have a desk but not a desk chair, just more of a stool. The amenities were a bit basic and lacking in detail as well.

Rooms are comfortable and homey, staff across the board is AMAZING and the restaurant staff morning and night just make you feel excellent after a long work day. Blown away. Linda Carr: Couple of bumps but nothing significant. Would not recommend if you have children because they don't have the complimentary breakfast. You also have to pay for parking. It is a valet service but, not conventional when you're on a budget. The shortcomings that I experienced are due to my lack of paying attention to detailed information before booking this hotel. Farzan Farnaghi: One of my go to hotels in downtown Minneapolis. Convenient location near river and attractions, with a Trader Joe’s/starbucks just outside to pick up snacks and groceries. Lobby and room design is lovely . Parking is as convenient as it gets, making the check in process smooth and easy. Both times I stayed they allowed me early check in without additional cost. Love this place!

Good amenities - outdoor pool, second floor gym, lobby bar — and situated conveniently across the street from Trader Joe’s, restaurants and nightlife. Room was clean, modern, minimalist. First night the heat wasn't working in our room but the front desk helped with getting another room together for us. Cute lobby seating area with pool table, and games. C T: This is a quaint restaurant with a high-end tasting menu. You start your journey at the concierge booth, which also doubles as hotel check-in. They escort you through large doors and seat you immediately, assuming you made reservations in advance. Our server was very attentive to our needs and explained the pairing for each of the courses we had. The food was definitely a journey for you palate. The caliber of the kitchen is topnotch! The kitchen is open and right next to the dining area, and we didn't hear a peep out of the chefs. That just shows you the quality of professionalism they have. Smooth and running like a well-oiled machine. I would highly recommend celebrating a special occasion with Alma!
Nicole Gislason: We had the most wonderful experience for my sister's 30th birthday dinner. It was a curated menu where the plates just came out in courses. You let the server know what dietary needs you had at the beginning... We started out with some great cocktails and then a wonderful recommended wine. Kevin Engelhardt: for the quiet, well-kept bar that is a hidden gem, and an occasional dinner/meal, when we lived in Northeast Minneapolis. So, when we were returning after a 4-year absence, we HAD to stay at the Nicollet Island Inn. We met friends and family for an afternoon and evening of dining, drinks and fun. We received superb service, unsurmountable attention to detail and delicious, splendid meals. Wow! NII sets the new gold standard for hotels and restaurants. All of us who travel regularly were amazed at the professionalism, genuine care and alacrity that we enjoyed with every encounter, every meal and every conversation. A huge thank you to Issa at the front desk, Brad in the NII bar, and Lillian and Rebecca in the restaurant. Everything was perfect. You impressed everyone who had the pleasure of interacting with each of you.Nearby activities: There is too much in the way of activities that are nearby. You are a 10 minute walk to downtown Minneapolis. You are in the famed Nordeast Minneapolis - just look up Nye's Bar or St. Anthony Main! Interstate 35W is 5 minutes away and the University is a quick drive or bike ride. Centrally located and yet quiet and tucked away from the wild life.Safety: The island is well protected and well-lit. The area is always busy with foot traffic and runners/joggers. The inn does a great job of securing the parking lot and managing their outdoor patio to buffer you from the passers-by. You forget you are in a metropolitan area. They still use physical room keys!! It is classic!Walkability: You can walk anywhere at anytime from the Nicollet Island Inn. The area is constantly "afoot" with St. Anthony Main at your doorstep and downtown Minneapolis just 10 minutes away. Everyone walks in this area no matter the season.Food & drinks: The menu at NII is amazing. Each menu offers great selections with a good range for all appetites. The staff does an excellent job of accommodating food allergen requirements without skipping a beat. The wine list is very well curated and the bartender has years of mixology experience to make you the perfect iteration of any alcoholic beverage. The NII should be at the top of you dining list when in Minneapolis!
