    Quebracho was born out of homesickness. I had recently moved to the U.S. and missed my family and friends. I learned how to cook at a young age with my two grandmothers and also enjoyed grilling with my dad on Sundays when the family came over for lunch.

    Grandma Iaia taught me how to make empanadas, and they always had a special place in my heart. Memories abound of the two of us making piles of empanadas and getting them ready for the family, so Quebracho is my way of telling my family that I love them and that I always carry them with me.

    As for you, I think you are in for a real treat. Frozen food can often be too bland, too doughy, and too processed. I brought my family’s homemade recipes and kept them virtually unchanged. Next time you shop the frozen aisle at a grocery store or shop online, remember that you can get a taste of my abuela’s table in just under 20 minutes. Enjoy.
