4worldlovers: MBC offers private and group training in boxing, strength and conditioning for anyone looking to improve their overall health and fitness. Our group fitness classes can be modified to fit all levels. The gym is currently open, and we are continuing our online course offering along with our in-person training so that all are truly welcome!

Minneapolis Boxing Club offers private and group boxing training for anyone looking to improve their overall health and fitness. With an extensive background in boxing technique and fitness training, husband/wife team Joe & Heidi create training sessions that are challenging, unique, and fun. Whether you're looking to become a professional boxer, or are an amateur who wants a new way to get in great shape, you’ve found your fitness family at MBC.

MBC is located in the Northeast corner of the 2905 Garfield Building. The building is a hub of activity and is home to Crossfit Kingfield, Kingfield Barbell, 57Fit, Krav Maga Minneapolis, among others. Enter off of Garfield Avenue and go through the lobby to the left. Follow our signs to the back of the building.

A ramp is available for handicap access. Street parking is free and available on Garfield and Harriet Avenues. There is also a large City of Minneapolis lot across the street that is available for $1/hour.

4worldlovers: We are a boxing gym in South Minneapolis. We believe boxing is for everyone. If you want to fight competitively, we train fighters from the ground up. If you want to start boxing for fitness, we have group classes that will make you work. We offer a Kids Boxing program for children ages 6-14. We strive to make all our visitors and members feel comfortable no matter their fitness level or experience in the sport. All are welcome at Ludy's.

Ludy Webster has been on the boxing scene since the 80's and comes with an aptitude of knowledge and experience. Ludy is not only a great coach but he is also one of the best amateur and professional judges, referees, and officials in the game and has been for many years. He specializes in molding athletes into top-tier national champions taking his fighters to national tournaments such as Golden gloves, ringside, Olympic qualifiers, and more.

Ludy was born and raised in South Minneapolis and sees his gym as a way to give back to the community he loves. Creating Ludy's Gym as a 501c3 non-profit was found to be the most beneficial way to have a positive impact on the youth. Doing this enables us to create programs for those who need a little extra help to get involved and have the opportunity to be able to give back and support those who may not have had the chance to be a part of a positive, rich, and safe environment.

We are lucky enough to have the opportunity and privilege to be a part of the south Minneapolis community. As someone who grew up within this community, I can say there have been some positive changes over the years, but the one thing that seems to remain is a need for a positive and creative outlet for the youth to focus their energy. The youth of the neighborhood and community will always need a place that provides a safe environment to promote a positive and healthy outlet with the benefits of physically and mentally getting in shape and that is exactly what we do and provide here at Ludy’s Gym, turning no child away.

We teach self-discipline, and respect, promote self-esteem, and how to handle aggression and emotions in a healthy way. We teach to instill and represent honesty not just to everyone else but more importantly to be honest with yourself. We teach kids to represent the community as if the community were representing them. Making them respectable, hardworking positive members of society all while providing a welcoming, safe, and open environment.

With your help we will be able to get these young athletes to national tournaments across the nation, being able to represent Minnesota and the city of Minneapolis. It will show them that we support them, and it will show them that there is more out there and available to them than just the enclosure of the life they know.

This is all done with the help of donations from upstanding and caring members of the community such as yourself, and we cannot thank you enough.

60% of your donation will help with our Helping Hand program which allows us to reduce fees, enabling us to turn no child away because they cannot afford it.

20% of your donation will help the kids with travel and expenses for tournaments and events.
