Minnesota State Fair: what do users think?

P W: Wear comfortable shoes! Come hungry. Bring patience and antacid tablets. And plenty of money.Great fun!

Ed O-K: Great place to get together with friends or family.

Chelsea Pacheco: Very good rides and very good service

Angeline Gard: The best fair in the United States! So much fun and food in one place! If you’ve never gone, it’s a must do!

Parrothead Chris: Best Fair in the country hands down. The food is amazing

Emma Crow: Lines for bathroom were a little long Ye old mill was great great time with grand kids

d Davis: all looking for parking, entertainment, food, drink and the bathroom. It’s an adventure everyone should experience at least once as for the most part it’s the same year in and year out. Imagine a slow moving heard or sheep with the sounds of 10, 000 people talking at one time. Mix in some food from all over our little world. Throw in some beer, lemonade and soda pop. Sprinkle some B.O., farts and bad breath and that’s when MSF’s is officially that little town. By day it has a touristy feel with family’s holding maps trying to do as much as they can with the time they have. At night it has the feel of a John Hughes movie going for an R rating. Hundreds of teenagers find their way to Minnesotas largest baby sitter with the words “stay out of trouble” still echoing in the head. Wide eyed with that grin that says they love this ‘sitter’ because they can do what ever they want and maybe be that person their parents tell them not to be.During the MSF’s off season you don’t need much of a plan. During the fair the people watching is top notch but you soon will realize those that had no game plan coming in. Haggard, exhausted, bloated, sunburnt, dehydrated, lost and angry. You can see and feel it their time to go home eyes. So have a plan. Pick an off day if you can. Be prepared for lines for everything. Shift into your low gear and merge right cause it will be an all day human traffic jam with the usual clowns making it more difficult for everyone around. To sum it up…..Be a good human and the Minnesota State Fairgrounds will treat you alright!

Hope Glen Farm: what do users think?

Steven Sporre: My wife and I got married here almost three years ago. The planning phase was super easy and smooth. We got compliments the entire night about how amazing the wedding looked. We had to move our wedding inside due to rain and the inside wedding was awesome. The owners are great to work with and help with some of the planning. Would highly recommend to all engaged couples!

Kalette Fraser: Staying at Hope Glen Farm's Corn Crib Cottage Barn was an unforgettable experience during our Minnesota visit! Despite the winter chill, the property's charm shone through. Michael's hospitality added an extra layer of warmth to our stay, and the atmosphere was truly magical. My son couldn't get enough of the jacuzzi, and I appreciated the spotless cleanliness and inviting ambiance. Exploring the grounds and facilities was a delight, with each building boasting its own unique yet harmonious style. I was particularly enchanted by the thought of bridal clients enjoying a wedding night stay in the charming treehouse. It's evident that every detail at Hope Glen Farm is carefully curated, making it the perfect venue for a dream wedding or a memorable getaway.

Mollie Smith: We had our daughter's wedding here and it was spectacular! Highly recommend!

Amy Miller: , that are heated or air conditioned, depending on the season. There's a beautiful dancing barn that honestly didn't require any decorating. There's plenty of parking on site. You get to stay in a BEAUTIFUL honeymoon suite the night of your wedding. We stayed in the treehouse which was so much fun! And we rented the other honeymoon suite as a gift to our officiant. And there are goats! That you can pet and feed. Seriously, it's a great venue! I wanted to have a magical Geek themed wedding that was still classy, and this venue was perfect!

Tim Drake: Amazing venues for weddings, reunions, get-aways. The grounds and buildings are lovely. The treehouse is like a storybook. The pavilion looks like something from a state or national park. It has a barn for gathering. Absolutely incredible and close to everything you need. The hosts are wonderful and hospitable, very friendly. Highly recommend.

Marit Esterberg: Beautiful venue and fantastic staff!!

Complete MN: The venue itself is breathtaking, offering a wide range of options for various types of events. The attention to detail in both the indoor and outdoor spaces is outstanding, making it a photographer's dream. The natural beauty and well-maintained grounds make for fantastic photo opportunities. The owners, Michael & Paula, have an amazing staff lead by Erica! They are responsive, accommodating, and truly care about their clients and the vendors they work with. They ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for all involved, making every event a memorable one.We highly recommend Hope Glen Farm to couples and vendors looking for a top-notch wedding venue. Silverwood Park: what do users think?

Jake Wood: Weekdays it's never busy. Weekends get a little busier but you're never bumping elbows with others on the trails like you would at Lake Harriet or Maka Ska. Main loop trail length is 1.5 miles, which makes for great 1 or 2 lap jogs. Plenty of art along the trail to check out. Owls are pretty rad too.

Bianca B.: Beautiful park. Was here with family. We used the fireplace and it was amazing.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Ashley Peters: Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No

Terry Eggert: Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait

Zobar Kruk: Amazing place to relax, drink coffee, have a picnic, or just take a walk around the vast area with beautiful open space and pretty lake all around you.Definitely come here if you want to relax your mind and take a break from a busy world.

Festivities: what do users think?

Edward Raeker: I've seen the staff and crew of Festivities MN in action at major events and had the pleasure of working side-by-side with some of their key players. The Festivities organization seems to attract and retain some of Minnesota's most capable event designers, planners and crew. How do you spot the Festivities staff at an epic event? Look for the people that are getting the job done under pressure. Look for the people that are punctual, guest-oriented and always helping - they're probably Festivities MN staff - and they consistently deliver 5-star experiences.

Andrea LaViolette: Emily is amazing! So great to work with! Their inventory and selection is great.

Annamarie McDonald: Festivities was so wonderful to work with. From the initial meeting to communication after the wedding I was so impressed with Paloma and the Festivities team. Their showroom quality was better than others I had visited which calmed a lot of my fears. I'm big on organization I felt so much for confident in Festivities abilities with their showroom organization and cleanliness. Paloma was a dream to communicate with an rolled with so many punches in getting me adjusted estimates as our needs and guest counts changed. I will for sure be recommending Festivities to others and hope to use their services for other fun events in the future.

ashley weber: These guys were amazing to work with! Really put the icing on the cake forOur wedding! The draping and lighting services was a beautiful touch to the venue! So many changes and Paloma and Emily were great at communicating and working with us up to the very last minute! I seriously would recommend every wedding to use their services!

Jocelyn Lensing: Our team from Availed Wedding and Event Planning absolutely loves working with Festivities! They are always so professional, and have beautiful pieces to bring our visions to life. We recently designed a wedding with them at Glass House on Sunday, September 4th, 2022. Rachel was great to work with as always, and the stage was perfect for the band. Highly recommend!

Mary Newville: Rachel and Sarah were amazing to work with for a summer picnic at our office. They were responsive, creative, and helpful bringing together fun for the whole family. They took our vision for the event and sourced all the vendors and rentals, managed the communications with vendors, setup and take down for rentals, and payments. I would highly recommend. Rachel went above and beyond and had her team drop off an extra tent for us last minute when we were worried about rain - this ask was given two hours before the event start, amazing! Thank you Rachel and Sarah!

shannen loewen: and Festivities worked hard to adhere to them. Our job was small compared to most but the effort, professionalism and enthusiasm never wavered. I recommend Festivities 100%!!!

Natalie Ives: We highly recommend working with Festivities! It was a 10/10 experience from beginning to end! We worked with Rachel and Jennifer to create the wedding decor of our dreams! We loved the design process working with their team, viewing the options in the showroom and our decor on our wedding was exactly what we envisioned.

Michelle Krueger: Festivities helped me out in a pinch when another vendor lost my order for a grad party the next day. THANK YOU!!!!!

Jennifer Snyder: Fabulous decor and florals provided! Thank you! I will be utilzing Festivities again for future event needs.

Logan Dutcher: We originally had a larger budget for wedding decorations and working with Festivities and Paloma was amazing. When our plans and budget changed Paloma didn’t skip a beat and was there with new ideas and suggestions the whole time. We felt that no matter what we needed they were willing to work with us and help us for our wedding day. We never felt like they didn’t care for us just because we were a smaller client. With so many stressors around planning a wedding it was nice that when it came to the decorations, Paloma and the team at Festivities made sure they weren’t one of the stressors.

Paige Knose: My career is in weddings/events, so I am very fortunate to have amazing relationships with vendors in the Twin Cities area. When it was time to choose linens for my own wedding, our venue provided the basics, but I knew there were linen options out there that would truly enhance our vision. I worked with Rachel over at Festivities to pick our table linens for our round guest tables, cocktail tables, and napkins. I wanted two different linens for the guest table, a napkin that would pop, and then linens for the cocktail tables that would make that area feel like its own space. Rachel helped analyze our venue, color palette, and vision to pick out exactly what we were looking for, and it truly brought the vision for our wedding to life.

C. B. D.: We ordered chairs, sheers and the wooden arch from Festivities for our wedding; they delivered great products and had even better service! It was so easy to work with Rachel and John. They’re friendly, patient and understanding. The payment process was flawless and communication was superb. 😊👍🏼

Jon Kulke: We ordered flowers and decor from Festivities for our wedding. Everything was gorgeous. Rachel was great at coordinating with my wife via email and figuring out an aesthetic for our wedding. All of the decorations were sturdy and high quality. The flowers were gorgeous and well kept. The only issue was that about 5 days after our wedding we were contacted about missing decor. I checked with everyone who helped us pack everything up and everything had been accounted for. After telling Festivities this they contacted us again about a week later saying they had found everything in a box in their facility. They also did not provide any set up or delivery for us since our wedding was on a Sunday. However we would definitely work with them again.

Jasmine Hoedeman: I had some simple needs for a graduation party and Festivities MN and my customer contact Rachel treated me as if I was their most important client. Great communication, fair pricing and a great selection. Would highly recommend and would definitely use them again.

Yvonne P: It is a great venue for a concert!Visited on Weekend Wait time Up to 10 min Reservation recommended Yes …

Rory Morgan: Did the classic tour. Very cool stadium and the guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. Got to see some cool spots like the dugout, luxury boxes and radio booth. Kids liked the tour as well, not just for baseball fans. Reasonably priced too. Fun thing to do for an hour if you’re into cool buildings.

Jeremy Knutson: Fun place

J730 Ml: Great stadium

Miles Berndt: , Super Bowl LII

TJ Notorious: Typical large football venue. Building acoustics add designed for capturing and amplifying sound, so not great for concerts. Located in the heart of Minneapolis puts you as prey to criminals in a lawless city, so will it be a pro-Hamas rally on the highway, pointless vandalism, or violent attacks. Yes, a visit to the US Bank Stadium for any reason definitely requires some consideration. Kenny Chesney concert was the first time in the Twin Cities in a couple of years.

Alexis Laubenthal: I have been to US Bank Stadium a few times. Every experience that I have ever had here is phenomenal! Recently, we were there for a concert. The acoustics in there are not the greatest, but always a great time. All the staff is always extremely friendly and goes out of their way to make sure your experiences great. From security staff to those serving food and beverages everyone is always extremely accommodating and well mannered. The overall environment and cleanliness is fantastic as well.
