What can patients expect if they choose you as their urologist?

My patients can expect a doctor who is caring and sincere, but also very practical. I’m a problem solver because I want to find solutions that work for the patient. I‘m always focused on improving the quality of people’s lives. My philosophy on being a surgeon is to, above all, be a good listener and advocate for the patient so we can work together to solve their urologic problem.

When you’re not working, what do you like to do for fun?

A man who loves what he does, is hardworking and has a good sense of humor.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to grow up to be either a surgeon or a craftsman. I love building things and do a lot of my own home projects.

What’s a piece of advice you carry with you? And who shared it with you?

The key to success in life is to just keep showing up. Whether its school, work, volunteering, or other commitments you've made, just show up. If you show up, you’re in a better place than most people, and all the other details will fall into place. A professor in medical school gave me this advice because students weren’t showing up for class, and then they’d be confused by the homework. I’ve followed his advice to just keep showing up, and I can truly say it’s the best advice I’ve ever received.
